Denialists, legalists, and apologists are the plutogogues of political dynasties who make a career in legitimizing the irrational and unjust rule of the few even if it contravenes the interests of the majority.

The problem with this type of politics is that it equates the delusions of a crusading politician and family with political empowerment. It weakens collective action for good governance by spreading the illusion that complex social issues can be addressed either by foul language or pitting individuals against each other in a macabre show of public shaming.
The original intent of the party-list law is to give the marginalized and underserved sectors of society a chance to participate in the elections and lawmaking. But a recent study by election watchdog Kontra Daya flagged 55 percent of the party-list groups participating in the 2025 elections for their links to political dynasties, big businesses, police/military connection, corruption, and dubious advocacy.
But unlike the movie, there's no dysfunction in this symbiotic dynasts. There is stability with the cycle, with their name, and the system in politics that leaves them entrenched: patronage, ayuda, projects for barangays in exchange of loyalty, or sometimes there will be no programs at all.
The two dynasties are competing against their track records in terms of corruption, human rights violations and subservience to foreign masters.
Some party-list representatives belong to political clans whose relatives occupy several government positions in a province.
