This porch's sitting space has boho style with a porch rocker, wall hanging, and cozy textiles. The porch's trim has the same creamy white color as the swing. The modern, Southwestern-inspired throw and chair invite guests to enjoy the pool. These large cacti or succulents add interest and greenery to the outdoor area. Grand gates lead into a Southwestern-inspired patio with an adobe-style fireplace. This space becomes a tranquil area for meditation thanks to a steel-tub water feature.

Our carpets can take the abuse of tracked-in snow, the wear of work boots, and the spills of a busy family. These are commercial-grade rugs! Two soil lifting properties are added during the manufacturing process which helps the yarn shed soil. This means that the yarn is difficult to wet which makes cleaning your rugs an easy task. Unlike wool and other cotton yarns, nylon is naturally moisture resistant and resists mold, mildew, and insects. This natural moisture barrier also resists microbes, allergens, and the formation of bacteria, which means your rugs will stay healthy just as long as you do.

Rugs for Western Decor

Often, one textile is the only element needed to give a space of Wild West touch. Owner and designer Sarah Wittenbraker kept her kitchen clean, white and fairly minimalistic — except for that vibrant, graphic rug. No drywall was used in the renovation of this kitchen and living area. Instead, the finished birch ceilings and graphic walls create organic warmth against the metal beams and concrete floor. This space represents a modern, pared-back take on Southwestern style. Vigas are wood ceiling beams in traditional adobe architecture — iconic for the Southwest and particularly New Mexico — and they're the hallmark of this sophisticated dining space. Additionally, a large wood table, ten slipper chairs and a buffet welcome guests.

A sturdy leather bench can be used as a landing pad for vintage Stetsons. Work gloves and utility hooks can also be used. They are great for holding fringe vests, jackets, and a laso. Line the floor with well-worn cowboy boot and subtle color elements like a cobalt flatweave rug. You can soften your space with a lot of textiles that are layered over plump, leather sofas. The entryway continues the color story with maroon and navy plaids as well as shearling throws. A rug in an abstract area is also a great option. Wyoming-based writers are represented here and local goods like blankets, cushions, ceramics, and blankets add a local flair. Taxidermy can be elegant as well. If used sparingly and in the right context, a graceful buckbust, an elegant elk antlers, or noble bison can become statement pieces to admire.

Many of the cabin's wood-paneled rooms felt cramped and dark. So designers painted the redwood walls lightened. The ceilings were left exposed so that the California redwood's beautiful natural tones could be seen. This living area has an almost rustic feel thanks to the exposed wood beams in the ceiling and the cowhide ottoman. Two walls with windows allow sunlight to flood in. This simple living room has a light, white color palette. There are three windows in the interior that allow for a view of the adjacent kitchen. A wall hanging in Southwestern style is located above the fireplace. It adds a splash of color and festive flair.

There are three types of western rugs “sale,” “hand-knotted,” and “Soumak.” The most common type of rug is the “sale” type, which has a wide range in price and variety. Other types of rugs include the more expensive “hand-knotted” type, typically more detailed and durable; and the less expensive “Soumak” type, which typically comes from Turkey or Iran or is made in the USA. Finally, there is the Oriental carpet, which comes from the country of either China or India. There are many styles of rugs that are often correlated with this type of interior design. You may find that you are actually in the market for a Southwest rug, a tribal rug, a cowhide rug, a rustic cabin rug, cowboy rugs, or handwoven Native American floor coverings. Southwest rugs, for example, pair very well.
