                                                          FIVE YEARS
                                                             LATER

                       64 INT. THE GIRL'S HOME - AFTERNOON

A small, simple wedding is taking place at a house at the end of the
isolated cemetery. The wedding has attracted the attention and gossip
of many people in the town.

The groom is a young, tall AMERASIAN, He has curly hair, big bright
eyes, and long, gentle eyelashes. He wears a white suit and a red tie
that together highlight the blackness of his skin as seen on his hands
                       and face.

The bride is A YOUNG WOMAN in her twenties. She looks mature and
is extremely attractive. She wears little makeup, but her long, silky black
hair, sparkling black eyes, and pink, sensuous lips give her oval face a
lovely beauty that cannot be surpassed.

A LITTLE BLACK ASIAN BOY, around four or five years old and

wearing navy blue clothes and a pair of white sneakers is prancing
around playfully. He asks for something, and all three of them break
                       into laughter.

It is a belated wedding, held to honor a commitment made five years

ago. Attending the wedding are THE FAMILY OF THE BRIDE, THE
MOTHER OF THE GROOM, some adult friends of both families and,
especially, THE TWO POLICEMEN whom the groom long ago
suggested that the two families invite.

65 EXT. THE CEMETERY - AFTERNOON

After the ceremony to honor the ancestors, the acceptance of best
wishes, and the reception luncheon and festivities, THE BRIDE AND
GROOM ask for permission to go outside for a while with their YOUNG
SON. They take the boy to the cemetery, burn incense at the large

tomb and other tombs nearby, and then sit down at the same spot
                       where they used to sit.
