April 13, 2022 — Sudan’s People Liberation Army-In-Opposition SPLA (IO) led by the First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhuron are casting doubts on president’s sincerity to honor the new security arrangement as some decrees fail to read as expected.
Last night President Salva Kiir in an attempt to unify the structure of the Unified Forces issued series of Republican Decrees as read out on the state-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) naming top Generals from SPLA (IO) and SSOA into the command structure according to a deal they have reached over the past two weeks.
According to the deal reached over command structure by the parties to R-ARCSS, the power sharing ratio agreed upon would allocate 60% to the SPLM (IG) and 40 % to all opposition groups as opposed to 50-50 power sharing arrangement that was signed in 2018
In a statement obtained by Nyamilepedia, the SPLA (IO) military Spokesman, Col. Lam Paul Gabriel, said he noticed a violation to the recently agreed upon arrangement calling it something strange without giving the full narrative.

Col. Gabriel did not provide more details on what was violated but he doubts if what was announced is actually what was agreed by the parties recently.
