Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called for a united Peoples Democratic party as he intensifies efforts to woo party delegates across the country ahead of the major opposition’s presidential primary election.

The former vice president expressed his readiness to restructure Nigeria in order to boost national economy and security, if elected president.
Mr Abubakar, who made this known during a meeting with PDP delegates on Sunday in Abia, said he would transform the country, if given the opportunity.

The former vice president also said there was the need for the party to emerge victorious during the 2023 general elections for the aspirations of the people to be realised.

The presidential aspirant also explained that his manifesto focused on five key areas, including national unity, economic development, national security, education and restructuring of the nation.

“Together we can achieve all these goals if we unite as a party,” said Mr Abubakar.

Also, the PDP chair in Abia, Asiforo Okere, said the stakeholders were excited to receive the presidential aspirant.

Mr Okere noted that the contributions of the presidential aspirant to the party would be appreciated.

He prayed to God to lead Mr Abubakar the right way and grant his desire of becoming the next president of Nigeria.
