Members and candidates of the All Progressives Congress in the 2023 polls in Bayelsa have been advised to close ranks and ensure the victory for Bola Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate.

State party chair, Dennis Otiotio, told the party faithful on Friday that their fate was tied to Mr Tinubu’s victory as therein lies their own pathway to victory in state elections.

Mr Otiotio made the assertion in Yenagoa during the inauguration of the 105 Ward Coordinators of the Pastor Reuben Initiative for Good Leadership and Accountability (PRIGLA).

The party leader who was represented by the State Youth Leader, Preye Agama, said only a Tinubu presidency would help the party reclaim the state which was lost to the PDP in 2019 through the Supreme Court.

Founder of PRIGLA, Reuben Wilson, said that the inauguration of the APC support group was to strengthen the APC’s grip at the grassroots – in order to change the narratives in the 2023 general elections.

Mr Wilson, who is also the South-South Coordinator of The Asiwaju Group (TAG), urged the newly inaugurated coordinators to deliver the candidates of the party from the House of Assembly to presidential positions.

According to him, this is the time to bury all grievances against any member of the party and work to ensure that the party emerges winner of the 2023 general elections.

“I don’t want to hear complaints about candidates. The party’s victory is paramount. What you’re doing is for the party and not the candidate.” Mr Wilson said.
