The Adamawa government has approved the release of N2.6 billion for the procurement and installation of four AM and FM transmitters at the state-owned broadcasting corporation.

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Neido Kufukto, disclosed this while briefing journalists after the State Executive Council meeting in Yola on Friday.

Ms Kufukto said four broadcast studios would be constructed in the broadcasting corporation, adding that they would be remodelled to stand the test of time.

She said, “The initiative will enhance the station’s productivity in accordance with global best practices.”

The commissioner said the council had also approved the release of N1.9 billion for the general renovation of the state high court complexes A and B.

She said the renovation, which will soon commence, will enhance the judiciary’s capacity for optimal performance and speedy justice administration in the state.
