Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has annouced a comeback fight against Jermaine Franklin.

The fight is scheduled for April 1 at the O2 Arena, London, a flyer shared by Joshua on Facebook Monday reads.

Joshua, who lost two consecutive fights to Oleksandr Usyk is looking to bounce back with a win over Franklin come April 1. However, a defeat for Joshua could further damage his career.

This will be Joshua’s first fight without a world title attached in the past seven years.

Before now, Joshua held unified the WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight titles between 2016 and 2018.

He suffered his first major defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr. In 2019, Joshua bounced back to reclaim his title from Ruiz.
