Arsenal on Sunday displayed an impressive performance beating Brighton 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium to reclaim the English Premier League table top as Liverpool played a goalless draw against Manchester United.

Coming from a shocking defeat to Aston Villa last week, Arsenal bounced back, winning all three points to displace Liverpool.

The Gunners well dominated the game but could not find the back of the net in the first half.

Returning into the second half stronger, Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring for the Gunners with a header from a corner in the 53rd minute.

Kai Havertz doubled Arsenal’s lead in the 87th minute, making a comeback impossible for Brighton.

With Sunday’s three points, the Gunners moved to EPL table top with 39 points in 17 games, a point ahead of Liverpool.
