The General Officer Commanding, 1 Division Nigerian Army, Maj.-Gen.Abubakat Wase paid a maiden visit to the Nigerian Air Force, Air Training Command, Kaduna, on Wednesday.
Mr Wase, who doubles as the Commander, Sector 1 Operation Fasan Yamma, said the visit was to boost operational efficiency in the ongoing operations in the division’s area of responsibility.
The GOC, who was received by the Air Officer Commanding, AVM Ahmed Dari, sought stronger cooperation and collaboration to enhance operational success.

The AOC, in his response, promised unrelenting assistance to ensure the operation’s success was achieved in the theatre as necessary.
The GOC visited troops within the division’s area of responsibility, including 1 Division Garrison, 71 Supply and Transport Brigade, 2 Battalion.
He addressed the troops and urged them to conduct their duties professionally. The GOC also assured the troops of improved welfare as their entitlements would be given to them.
