Bauchi constructs 600-bed capacity hostel at Dangote science college

The Bauchi State government has constructed a 600-bed capacity hostel at the Aliko Dangote College of Sciences, Bauchi.
The Provost, Rakiya Saleh, said this during a facility tour of the college on Tuesday in Bauchi.
She said the project was designed with a drainage system and kitchen facilities to meet the modern student hostels, adding the project has reached a 90 per cent completion stage.
She stated, “The hostel consists of 100 rooms to accommodate 600 students and is expected to be completed within two months.’’
Ms Saleh said the state government also renovated and equipped the college library and renovated a common room to meet the accreditation requirement of the college.
“We don’t have challenges with the regulatory authorities because the state meets the requirements,” she said.
The provost said the college recently got accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and SIWES, resulting in an increase in programmes and enrolment.
