Buhari appoints Adepoju Sunday as new NIPOST postmaster general 

Adepoju Sunday was appointed for an initial term of five years.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Adepoju Sunday as the new postmaster general/CEO of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST).

This is contained in a statement signed by Uwa Suleiman, the spokesperson for the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, on Wednesday in Abuja.

“The appointment followed the recommendations made by Pantami,’’ said the statement.

It added that Mr Sunday was appointed for an initial term of five years and that the appointment was with immediate effect. 

The new appointee is a professional accountant and a former member of the House of Representatives who represented the Ibarapa East/Ido federal constituency of Oyo.
