Buhari meets security chiefs over onslaught against bandits

Those attending the security meeting include some cabinet ministers, security chiefs, and presidential aides.

• October 14, 2022

President Muhammadu Buhari has again summoned security chiefs to deliberate “successes” recorded in onslaughts against bandits and terrorists across the country.

The security chiefs would update the president on various military operations against criminals in the country.

Those attending the security meeting include some cabinet ministers, security chiefs, and presidential aides.

The security agencies have been recording what has been described as ‘impressive results’ against the terrorists and other criminals in the North-East, North-West and other parts of the country.

A terrorist kingpin, Ali Dogo, popularly known as Yellow, and 30 insurgents were killed in airstrikes by the air component of ‘Operation Whirl Punch’ on Saturday at a location in Kaduna.

Yellow and his fighters fled the military onslaught from their location in Niger to take refuge in a house at Yadi in the Giwa local government area of Kaduna when they were bombed.
