President Muhammadu Buhari will campaign for Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in 10 states of the federation, ahead of next month’s election.

This is according to the party’s newly released campaign schedule.

The timetable released by the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) shows that Mr Buhari will attend rallies in Adamawa, Yobe, Sokoto, Kwara, Ogun, Cross River, Nasarawa, Katsina, Imo, and Lagos states.

There have been speculations that Mr Buhari, who also doubles as the grand chairman of the PCC, is subtly dissociating himself from the Tinubu/Shettima campaign owing to alleged corruption baggage by the APC flag bearer.

Mr Buhari’s presence at the rallies will put to rest suspicions that the outgoing president is wary of Mr Tinubu’s ambition and hesitant to support his bid.

As previously written by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, the president will support the presidential candidate and other candidates with “full energy and conviction.”
