Grammy award-winning artiste, Damini Ogulu, otherwise called Burna Boy, has been awarded a plaque in honour of his impressive milestone of reaching two billion streams in the United Kingdom.

The artist was presented with the award after his sold-out performance at Koko Camden in London on Monday for his fifth anniversary of the ‘African Giant’ album. The singer received a Brit plaque in acknowledgement of his achievement.

Upon receiving his Brit 2 billion streams plaque, Burna Boy disclosed that he had struggled to achieve it, saying, “Thank you very much. I appreciate you. Ehen, now that’s it. You’ve got to fight for your right.”

This is coming shortly after he received a Brit plaque for a billion streams during his packed performance at the London Stadium last month, marking the second consecutive year he accomplished this feat.

Burna Boy brought out several Nigerian mainstream artistes on stage, including Omah Lay, Phyno, Shallipopi, Odumodu Blvck, Seyi Vibez, and others, creating an unforgettable night for fans.

With this latest feat, Burna Boy’s first single of the year, “Higher,” marks success.
