Burna Boy has sparked outrage by cursing Nigerians urging him to support the #EndHunger protests.

The Grammy award winner posted a tweet on X responding to a video he posted during the #EndSARS protests in 2020, saying, “The fight in me Died on this day. Ogun go doggy anybody wey call my name this time around.”

The phrase “Ogun go doggy” is a Yoruba curse implying that the god of iron (Ogun) will punish anyone who calls him out again.

This tweet did not sit well with some of his followers.

An X user, @boymanagero, quickly fired back, saying, “Oga shut up. Because they did u bad doesn’t mean u give up. U taught us to keep fighting in your songs, but u dey here dey cap nonsense.”

Burna Boy replied to the user, saying, “I taught u to keep fighting your oppressors, but you chose to fight Me.”

The conversation continued with another netizen, @jr barryy, stated, “Because you wan ghost and you de call yourself African giant.

Burna Boy replied, “I don hand am over to Falz bros.”

Falz, the Nigerian rapper and actor, has been actively involved in social and political activism for several years.
