The draw for the inaugural 36-team Champions League phase has been conducted, setting the stage for a thrilling new era in European football.

Defending champions Real Madrid have been handed a blockbuster tie against Liverpool, a rematch of the 2022 final. The Spanish giants will also face Borussia Dortmund, Milan, Atalanta, Salzburg, Lille, Stuttgart, and Brest.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain have drawn the toughest group on paper, with matches against Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, PSV, Girona, Salzburg, and Stuttgart.

Manchester City, another strong contender for the title, will face Inter, Paris Saint-Germain, Club Brugge, Juventus, Feyenoord, Sporting CP, Sparta Prague, and Slovan Bratislava.

All 36 teams will now compete in a single league table, with each side playing eight games instead of the traditional six. The new format promises to deliver intense competition and exciting football from the very beginning.
