Charles Ogwude becomes controller for Edo prisons

Mr Ogwude took over from Felix Lawrence, who had been deployed to head the Rivers State Command.

The Nigerian Correctional Service has deployed Charles Ogwude as the new Controller in Charge of Edo Command.

This is contained in a statement signed by the command’s spokesperson, Aminu Suleman, made available on Friday in Benin City.

Mr Suleiman said that Mr Ogwude took over from Felix Lawrence, who had been deployed to head the Rivers State Command.

The spokesperson described Mr Ogwude as a seasoned and professional officer, who was a directing staff at the Nigerian Correctional Service Staff College, Barnawa, Kaduna State.

“Previously in his career, he also governed several custodial centres such as Correctional Farm Center, Ozalla, Edo; Open Custodial Centre, Barnawa Kaduna, among others. He is happily married and blessed with children,” he said.
