Christian Eriksen to join Manchester United amid Ronaldo’s exit report
Danish player Christian Eriksen has agreed to join Manchester United on a three-year contract.
“Christian Eriksen has agreed in principle to join Manchester United,” Skysports reported on Monday.
Eriksen will join Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford this summer upon conclusion of his medicals.
This comes amid reports that Cristiano Ronaldo told Manchester United that he would be leaving should the club get a favourable offer within the transfer window.
The Times on Saturday reported that Ronaldo’s call to leave United was informed by his desire to play in the Champions League.
Eriksen, 30, spent half of last season on loan at Brentford, making four assists and scoring one goal in 11 games.
Before now, Eriksen had trained with Ajax under Erik ten Hag leadership during his return to football after he suffered cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark in Euro 2020.
