Messrs Osinbajo and Tinubu are facing off in the ruling All Progressives Congress’ presidential primary, along with other aspirants, to become the party’s presidential candidate ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen attacked the St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo on Sunday leaving more than 50 people killed.

The massacre had forced Governor Rotimi Akeredolu to shelve his APC presidential primary election assignment to head to Ondo state.
Mr Osinbajo was also in the state to commiserate with the government and victims of the attack.
