Collect money from politicians, it’s yours, Kebbi PDP guber candidate tells residents
Retired Gen. Aminu Bande, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Kebbi, has advised the state’s residents to receive money from politicians bent on playing money politics in 2023.
Mr Bande gave the advice while inaugurating his campaign council in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.
“When they bring money, you should collect it, because it is yours, but make sure that you vote them out for a peaceful, progressive and transformed Kebbi State and Nigeria at large,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mr Bande said his contest was for the state’s rapid development.
He promised to be fair to all residents, irrespective of religion, tribe and party affiliation, to take the state to greater heights.
The candidate urged the campaign council to adopt a new strategic campaign where every leader and all members would deliver their polling unit.
The chairman of the campaign council, Abubakar Shehu-Geda, appealed to members to be courageous in ensuring victory for the party at the polls.
He noted with satisfaction that all the political bigwigs in Kebbi State were in attendance, hence his conclusion that PDP had already won the elections.
Mr Shehu-Geda solicited the support and cooperation of all and sundry towards hitch-free and successful elections across the state.
Mr Bala Sani-Kangiwa, former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, said, “I am now convinced that PDP had already won all the elective positions considering the dignitaries I saw here.
“However, I want to plead with all of you to go back home and convince your people to vote for our party, PDP, in all the elective positions come 2023.”
