An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Wednesday ordered the remand of one Olumide Monday, 44, in the correctional facility over alleged murder.
Mr Monday, whose residential address was not provided, is charged with the murder of Usman Bala, 35.
The Magistrate, Mr Olaolu Olanipekun, however, did not take the plea of the defendant for want in jurisdiction.
He directed the police to return the case file to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.
He, thereafter, adjourned the case until March 27 for mention.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Philip Amusan told the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offence on February 1, at 11:00 a.m, at Iwo road area, Ibadan.
Mr Amusan alleged that Mr Monday unlawfully caused the death of Mr Bala by stabbing him in the buttocks.
He said the offence contravened Section 319 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000. (NAN)
