Delta assembly confirms six commissioner-nominees
On Thursday, the Delta House of Assembly confirmed the appointment of six additional nominees as commissioners.
The speaker, Dennis Guwor, announced the confirmation after the screening of the nominees during the plenary in Asaba.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori had, in a letter, stated that the request was in pursuant to the powers conferred on him by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, as amended.
The nominees were called one after the other to answer questions from legislators.
The nominees are Sunday Tataobuogwu, Peter Uviejitobor, Val Areyinka, Trakiriowei ThankGod, Ebikeme Clark and Benjamin Okocha.
