Ebere Amaraizu gets new police posting

Mr Amaraizu has been appointed to the board of National Industrial Safety Council of Nigeria.

Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali, has nominated CSP Ebere Amaraizu as member representing Nigeria Police on the board of the National Industrial Safety Council of Nigeria (NISCN).

This is contained in a statement issued in Enugu on Sunday by Onuora Aninwobodo, spokesman for the Police Campaign against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV).

Mr Amaraizu is the national coordinator of POCACOV and a former spokesperson of the Nigeria Police in Enugu State.

NISCN is an agency of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.

It has fixed October 7 for the swearing-in of its newly elected national executives in Abuja.

The council was established in 1964 through the sponsorship of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment for the prevention of industrial accidents, promotion of occupational safety and health in workplaces.

It aims to promote peaceful coexistence, productivity and growth of the national economy.
