NIPR congratulates Edo governor-elect
The Edo State chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations has congratulated Senator Monday Okpebholo on his victory as the governor-elect of the state.
In a statement by the state Chairman, Dr James-Wisdom Abhulimen, in Benin City on Tuesday, the NIPR acknowledged the governor-elect’s achievement as well-deserved.
Mr Okpebholo is a member of the All Progessives Congress party.
Mr Abhulimen encouraged Mr Okpebholo to embrace all stakeholders, irrespective of political affiliations, as he prepared for the responsibilities of his new office.
He urged the governor-elect to lead an inclusive administration that welcomed diverse opinions, stressing that fostering unity would be crucial for a prosperous and united state.
He also advised Mr Okpebholo to assemble a team of technocrats with integrity, experience, and a passion for service.
He said, “Such a team should ensure that his administration is guided by expertise and dedication as he pursues his vision of a “New Edo State.”
Highlighting the importance of continuity, Mr Abhulimen urged the governor-elect to prioritise the completion of ongoing projects initiated by the outgoing administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki.
The chairman noted that doing so would demonstrate Mr Okpebholo’s dedication to progress and sustainable development.
He further pledged the institute’s support through professional expertise and guidance in enhancing communication strategies during Mr Okpebholo’s tenure.
He added that the institute wished the governor-elect divine wisdom, good health, and grace for him to succeed as he led Edo State into a new era of growth and development.
