Tesla CEO Elon Musk will speak at a company-wide Twitter meeting on Thursday, making it the first time he will address Twitter staff since moving to buy the social media company in April.

Based on a seen email, Business Insider reported that Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal announced the meeting on Monday. The meeting will be moderated by Twitter’s chief marketing officer Leslie Berland.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, and Mr Musk will take questions directly from Twitter employees who have voiced concerns surrounding his potential ownership of the social media platform.

Last week, Mr Musk accused Twitter of “actively resisting and thwarting” his right to information about the number of bots on the microblogging site.

Filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission noted Mr Musk’s allegations of Twitter committing “a clear material breach” of its “obligations under the merger agreement.”

It also reiterated that Mr Musk reserved “his right not to consummate the transaction and his right to terminate the merger agreement.”

In mid-May, Mr Musk placed the $44 billion deal to buy Twitter on hold until the company backed up its estimate of fake and spam accounts.

Mr Musk had previously noted that his priorities included removing “spam bots” from the platform.
