Irate youths in Jigawa state, on Thursday, set ablaze the headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The incident occurred as protests in the state capital, Dutse, turned violent.

A video posted on social media showed angry youths destroying property at the ruling party’s office while the building was engulfed in flames.

According to the Daily Trust newspaper, the mob also vandalised the State Fertiliser and Grains Store and the Agricultural Supply Company (JASCO) in Gumel.

The violence in Jigawa state mirrors similar incidents in other parts of the country, including Kano, Kaduna, Borno, and Abuja.

Nigerians nationwide have been expressing their grievances over the poor state of the economy and demanding an end to bad governance.
