Felix Anyansi-Agwu has been elected the First Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Anyansi-Agwu polled 23 votes to emerge the winner at an election held during the NFF general assembly and elective congress in Benin, Edo state.

The current chairman of Enyimba FC defeated Senator Obinna Ogba, who secured just eight votes, leaving 10 out of the 41 votes that were casted invalid.

Ibrahim Musa Gusau earlier today emerged the new NFF president at the same congress.

Meanwhile, Enyimba has, however, congratulated its chairman on his victory in the election.

“Congratulations to our chairman, Felix Anyansi Agwu on his election as the 1st Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation.

“Everyone at Enyimba FC felicitates with you on the great hope that your emergence as Vice President has brought for the game in the country,” the club said in a Facebook post.

Yusuf Ahmed ‘Fresh’, who contested unopposed, emerged as the new Chairman of all states’ FA chairmen after securing majority votes of 37 out of the 41 votes placed.

He replaces the new NFF president, Gusau, who previously held the position.
