Manchester United staged a brilliant comeback to defeat in-form Aston Villa 3-2 at the Old Trafford on Tuesday in the English Premier League.

Coming from a devastating 2-0 defeat to West Ham in their last EPL game, Erik 10 Hag’s side delivered a huge Boxing Day gift to the Manchester United fans across the world coming from two goals down.

Villa took the lead in the 21st minute courtesy of a brilliant free kick  by John McGinn, while Leander Dendoncker made it two for Unai Emery’s side five minutes later.

With a two goal lead into the first half break, Villa looked good for three points as angry Manchester United fans already booed their players and coach.

But United returned into the second half much stronger, fighting their way back into the game, cancelling out Villa’s two-goal lead and emerging a winner.

Argentinian midfielder Alejandro Garnacho led the push for United’s shocking win, scoring in the 59th and 71st minutes, a brace that injected much power in the United team.

Rasmus Hojlund got the winner for United in the 82nd minute, throwing United fans into a huge celebration. It was Hojlund’s first EPL goal after 15 appearances for the Red Devils.

With 31 points in 19 games, United are number six on the EPL, pending the outcome of the West Ham game later today.

Meanwhile, Liverpool also defeated Burnley 2-0 on Tuesday moving to first position on the log, pending the outcome of Arsenal’s game later today.
