Explosion rocks Jewish school in Amsterdam

An explosion damaged a Jewish school exterior wall in Buitenveldert district, Netherlands, on Saturday.
According to a local press, Dutch News, there were no casualties recorded.
Amsterdam Mayor, Femke Halsema described the incident, which occurred overnight as a “targeted attack against the Jewish community.”
“This is a cowardly act of aggression towards the Jewish community. A school should be a place where children can take their lessons in safety,” Ms Halsema said.
“I understand the fear and anger of Amsterdam’s Jewish community. They increasingly face antisemitism and that is unacceptable,” the mayor stated.
The latest incident occurred barely 48 hours following an overnight arson attack incident at a synagogue in Rotterdam, South Holland of Netherlands.
Reacting, Netherlands’ Prime Minister, Rob Jetten, in a post on X, faulted the attack, while promising that there would be “no place for antisemitism.”
Mr Jetten also announced his plan to engage with the Jewish community to guarantee their safety.
According to local reports, Dutch police have commenced investigations to apprehend two suspects believed to have planted an explosive device and were behind the incident.
The police are also assessing the connection between the explosion at the Jewish school in Buitenveldert and the earlier incident at Rotterdam synagogue.
