Flights to and from Catania airport in southern Italy were suspended as firefighters fought a blaze on Sunday night.

Sac, the company that manages the Vincenzo Bellini international airport, said that flights would be suspended until at least 8:00 a.m. (0600 GMT) on Monday due to a “fire which developed in the airport.”
