Four alleged cultists arrested in Imo

The police have arrested four suspected cultists in Amaraku, Isiala Mbano LGA.
In a statement on Thursday, spokesperson for the police in Imo, Henry Okoye, said the raid on the suspects led to seizure of weapons.
Two locally fabricated pistols and two live cartridges were recovered.
“The arrest followed an intelligence-led operation on 14th September 2025, when operatives raided the suspects’ hideout in Amaraku, Isiala Mbano LGA of Imo State,” the police statement said.
The suspects are 21-year-old Princewill Chinemerem ‘m’ of Amaraku, Mbano; 20-year-old Obinna Duru ‘m’ of Atta Ike Duru; 18-year-old Okechukwu Okpara ‘m’ of Umuneke, Añara; and 25-year-old Obinna Chinemerem ‘m’ of Umuobasi, Amaraku, Isiala Mbano.
Mr Okoye who stated that the suspects, during interrogation, confessed to being members of the Vikings Confraternity, assured that efforts are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing members.
