Four governorship aspirants withdraw from Plateau PDP primary
Four governorship aspirants have withdrawn from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election in Plateau.
The four aspirants, who withdrew from the race early Thursday, were Latep Dabang, Timothy Golu, Sam Pam, and Vincent Nanle.
After the withdrawal of the four contestants, 14 aspirants remain in the race to produce a flag bearer for the party.
The accreditation of the delegates started Wednesday night, while voting started in the early hours of Thursday.
Six hundred and twenty-one delegates were accredited to vote to produce the candidate of the party for the 2023 general elections.
