FRSC donates relief materials to victims of road crashes in Zamfara

More than 100 victims of road crashes are to benefit from the relief materials.

The Zamfara Command of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC), in partnership with the State Ministry for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, has distributed relief materials to over 100 victims of road crashes.

The materials were taken to the Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital and Federal Medical Centre, all in Gusau, the state capital, on Saturday.

The sector commander of the FRSC, Iro Danladi, said the gesture was part of the activities of the corps to commemorate the 2022 World Day of Remembrance of Roads Traffic Crashes Victims in the state.

Mr Danladi said more than 100 victims of road crashes within and outside the hospitals are benefitting from the relief materials.

According to him, victims of road crashes across the globe suffer different kinds of challenges, hence, the need to assist them.

The world day of remembrance of road traffic crash victims is a high-profile global event to remember the many millions killed or seriously injured worldwide.

The commemoration of this year’s edition of the programme in the state included a press conference, hospital visitation, public enlightenment and commemorative jumat and church prayers.
