Alhaja Adijat Kuburat, famously referred to as ‘Iyawo Anobi’, the mother of Fuji star Wasiu Alabi, better known as Pasuma, has died, according to the award-winning singer.

Mrs Kuburat died on Thursday evening, as announced by Pasuma to his 700,000 Instagram page followers, saying his “Jewel” is dead and would be missed forever.

The cause of death was not disclosed by the music superstar.

“My jewel, I will miss you forever! Words fail me. Rest in power and peace, please watch over me from heaven,” Pasuma captioned the picture of her late mother on Thursday.

Colleagues in the entertainment industry, including Nollywood actresses Iyabo Ojo, Eniola Badmus and comedian Mr Macaroni, have been sending condolences messages to the singer while paying tributes to the late Mrs Kuburat.

Afrobeats star Korede Bello, street pop artist Abdul-Sodeeq ‘Small Doctor’ Alao, and actor Bolanle Ninalowo, among others, have also sent condolence messages to Pasuma.
