German investigators searching the Berlin home of Daniela Klette, a suspected leftwing terrorist arrested in February, have secured thousands of evidence.

It’s also included weapons and money, police and prosecutors said on Thursday.

The search had revealed a Polish assault rifle, a Czech machine pistol and a highly convincing fake rocket-propelled grenade.

This is according to officials from the state of Lower Saxony, who are leading the investigation.

They published photos and called on the public to provide any information relevant to the case regarding the provenance of the weapons or where they might have been used.

The dummy grenade, resembling a Soviet design from the 1960s, was thought to have been used in an attack on a cash transporter near the city of Bremen in June 2015.

The investigators were working on the assumption that Klette and her associates in the Red Army Faction (RAF) used the weapons in robberies that netted around 2.7 million euros ($2.9 million).

Prosecutors based in Verden in Lower Saxony have been investigating Klette and her alleged accomplices Ernst-Volker Staub and Burkhard Garweg since 2015 in connection with several cases of attempted murder, robbery and attempted robbery.

Klette was arrested in Berlin’s central Kreuzberg district at the end of February, while Staub and Garweg are still being sought.

They were part of the so-called third generation of RAF extremists, which declared it disbanded in 1998.

It was held responsible for more than 30 killings.
