Gov. Yusuf accepts Kano water resources commissioner’s resignation

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has accepted the resignation of Water Resources Commissioner Umar Haruna-Doguwa, effective March 3.
Mr Haruna-Doguwa served as Commissioner for Education before his redeployment to water resources.
The governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, said in a statement on Tuesday that Mr Yusuf expressed appreciation to the former commissioner for his commitment, loyalty, and dedicated service to the people and government of Kano State during his tenure in office.
The governor had appointed Education Commissioner Ali Abubakar-Makoda to oversee the water resources pending the appointment of a new commissioner.
