Kano State governor, Abba Yusuf , has denied knowledge of the contract said to have been recently awarded for the supply of drugs to the 44 local government councils in the state.

The governor’s denial is contained in a statement jointly signed by the state Commissioner for Information, Baba Dantiye and the Director-General, Media and Publicity to Mr Yusuf, Sanusi Bature, issued in Kano State on Sunday.

It said, “The governor, therefore, directed the Executive Chairman, Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission to immediately investigate the allegation and report the outcome for further necessary action.”

Mr Yusuf also urged the good people of the state to be patient  pending the outcome of the investigation.
