Governor Abba Yusuf has approved fresh appointments and promotions to key government agencies, effective immediately.

This was disclosed in a statement by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature, on Monday.

Mr Bature said that the key appointments included Abubakar Matawalle as acting director-general of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board.

He said, “Yusuf Mukhtar was promoted to permanent secretary, Rahama Malam Alhaji as provost of the Kano State Anti-Corruption Institute and Aina’u ade to senior special assistant, Kannywood Affairs.

“Matawalle, a seasoned administrator, previously served as executive secretary of the Pilgrims’ Board and permanent secretary of the establishment.

“Rahama Malam Alhaji is a highly accomplished legal professional with expertise in litigation, corporate law, and regulatory compliance, while Aina’u Ade’s promotion is based on her outstanding performance.”

Mr Yusuf urged the appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them through hard work, transparency, and loyalty to the “Kano First” agenda.
