I have better looks than Kamala Harris: Trump
On his return to campaign in the battleground state of Pennsylvania following the attempted assassination attempt on him last month in a rally in Butler County, former U.S. President Donald Trump said he was more good-looking than Vice-President Kamala Harris.
Mr and Trump and Ms Harris will face off in the November 5 U.S. presidential contest.
But the former U.S. president thinks he has already won the beauty contest against the incumbent vice-president.
“I’m a better-looking person than Kamala,” the Republican Party nominee said during the campaign rally.
Mr Trump is known for abrasive comments about the physical appearance of people he does not like. He could not resist throwing a jab at Democratic Party nominee Harris while speaking to a crowd at his rally in Pennsylvania recently.
A few minutes into the rally, he went off on Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan, who had written about Ms Harris’ appearance in recent weeks, saying, “Her (Harris) beauty, plus the social warmth that all who have known her over the years speak of, combines to produce: radiance.”
“You don’t mind if I go off the teleprompter for a second, do you?” Mr Trump said to the crowd at his rally. “She said one thing that got me. She said Kamala has one big advantage: she’s a very beautiful woman. She’s a beautiful woman.”
The former president subsequently downplayed the attractiveness of Ms Harris, claiming, “I’m much better-looking than her.”
“Much better. Much better. I’m a better-looking person than Kamala,” Mr Trump stressed.
