Ibadan man arrested for stealing motorcycle

A 20-year-old man, Tukur Sani, was arraigned before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan on Wednesday for stealing a motorcycle worth N950,000.

Mr Sani was charged with conspiracy and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Elisha Tellang, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on March 11, at about 2:00 a.m., at Odo-Ona, Ibadan.

He alleged that the defendant and others at large stole a Bajaj motorcycle worth N950,000 belonging to Andrew Moses.

The magistrate, Oluwaferanmi Raji, granted the defendant bail of N500,000 and two sureties in like sum.

She adjourned the case until May 22 for hearing.
