IMF commends Gabon for efforts in resource mobilisation

The IMF delegation arrived in Libreville Sunday to assess Gabon’s economic situation.

An International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation presented the conclusions of its latest mission to Gabon at a meeting with Minister of Economy Mays Mouissi in Libreville, the Gabonese capital, on Thursday.

At the meeting, IMF experts congratulated the new Gabonese government for the efforts made in resource mobilisation and structural reforms.

They recommended that the new Gabonese authorities continue their efforts to establish a genuine revenue mobilisation strategy and debt stabilisation.

Mr Mouissi expressed appreciation that the delegation took into account the government’s efforts, pledging to make good use of the delegation’s initial findings.
