Institute awards BPP boss for procurement reforms

The director-general of the Bureau of Public Procurement, Adebowale Adedokun, has received an honorary doctorate award and certification from the Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Risk Management Institute.
According to a statement by the bureau, the honour was a recognition of Mr Adedokun’s commitment to driving procurement reforms in the country.
It stated that the BPP boss had been instrumental in promoting transparency, accountability, and efficiency in procurement processes, while building the human capacity and skills of professionals in the sector.
BPP said that Mr Adedokun had also fostered collaborations with international organisations, including the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, to align Nigeria’s procurement practices with global standards.
The BPP spokesman described the award as an inspiration for professionals in the field and an affirmation of Adedokun’s vision to make Nigeria a hub of procurement excellence.
He expressed the BPP boss’ commitment to leveraging technology and innovation to strengthen procurement practices and contribute to the nation’s economic growth.
