Manchester United have today confirmed that French midfielder Paul Pogba will leave the club this summer at the end of his contract.

The World Cup winner will now move on to a new challenge after a topsy-turvy period at Old Trafford.

Pogba became the most expensive player in Premier League history when he re-signed for United from Juventus for £89 million in 2016.

Unfortunately, he has not lived up to expectations, and the Old Trafford outfit opted against offering him a new contract.

Pogba scored 39 goals in 226 appearances for Manchester United, winning the League Cup and the UEFA Europa League.

He was named UEFA Europa Player of the Season in 2017.
