Nationwide power outage as national grid collapses again

Nigeria’s power grid collapsed on Friday, the second time in four weeks.

Electricity distribution companies confirmed the nagional grid collapse on Friday evening while urging Nigerians to be patient.

“Hello, please be informed that there has just been a national grid collapse causing an outage in our franchise areas. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and appeal that you bear with us while we await restoration from the TCN. We regret all inconvenience caused,” said a tweet by AEDC.

In the same vein, Jos electricity dstribution company stated, “Dear customers, there was a loss of supply as a result of the result of the system collapse Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) about 6:30 p.m. across all our franchise states of Bauchi, Benue, Gombe and Plateau “
