Justin Beiber has come down with facial paralysis, a rare disorder known as Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.

The Canadian singer shared the sad news of his diagnosis in an Instagram post on Friday, noting that the viral disease had infected his ear, and was the reason he canceled his remaining shows for his tour.

In the video, he showed how the paralysed side of his face remained unblinking, while expressing how he really wanted to perform for fans, but that his body was telling him to “slow down.”

The singer explained that he has been resting and doing everything he can to get his face back to functioning normally, while asking fans to pray for him and that he knows there is a reason for everything and trusts God to heal him.

“Been getting progressively harder to eat which has been extremely frustrating, please pray for me,” Justin pleaded. “Can’t believe I’m saying this. I’ve done everything to get better but my sickness is getting worse.”

Justin had been scheduled to perform in Toronto, Canada and Washington D.C. slated for June 7, 8 and 10, as part of his “Justice” world tour but cancelled the concerts.

The cancellation drew backlash as he didn’t provide details of his ailment.

“My heart breaks that I will have to postpone these next few shows (doctors orders). To all my people I love you so much and I’m gonna rest and get better! (sic),” he initially disclosed.
