Kano assembly inaugurates two new members

The Kano State House of Assembly on Tuesday swore in two lawmakers who emerged as winners in the August 16 by-election.
They are Ya’u Gwarmai (APC – Ghari /Tsanyawa Constituency) and Ali Alhassan Kiyawa (NNPP –Shanono/ Bagwai Constituency).
The speaker, Ismail Falgore, who presided over the plenary, congratulated them on their victory at the polls.
Speaking shortly after the oath-taking, Mr Kiyawa expressed delight over his re-election and commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and stakeholders for ensuring a smooth and peaceful process.
He thanked God for his victory and pledged to provide quality representation to his constituents and the state.
“I want to assure you of my readiness to provide effective and sound representation to the people of my constituency and the state at large,” he said.
