The Kano State House of Assembly has passed a resolution calling on the state government to construct link roads in three communities in Dambatta Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.

This followed the adoption of a motion by Murtala Kore (APC- Dambatta) at plenary on Monday.

Presenting the motion, Mr Kore said that the condition of roads in the communities was deplorable.

“It is a situation where the people in these communities, who are mostly traders and farmers, find it difficult to transport their goods to other areas,” he said.

He said that the roads included the Dambatta – Dukawa Road, Dambatta-Diggol-and Dambatta-Sansan Road.

The House unanimously adopted the motion after deliberations and called on the state government to intervene.

Similarly, the House called on the state government to establish a College of Education and Preliminary Studies in Minjibir LGA of the state.

This followed the adoption of a motion by Abdulhamid Abdul (NNPP-Minjibir).

Presenting the motion, Mr Abdul said there was a need for a College of Education in Minjibir due to increased students’ population.
