Kano Fire Service saved 12 lives, N46 million property in one month: Official

The service’s spokesman, Saminu Abdullahi, told journalists on Tuesday in Kano that five persons died and N15.6 million property were lost to the fire in June.

The Kano State Fire Service says it saved 12 people and N46.7 million in property in 23 fire incidents recorded in June.

The service’s spokesman, Saminu Abdullahi, told journalists on Tuesday in Kano that five persons died and N15.6 million property were lost to the fire within the period under review.

“The service responded to 12 emergency calls and four false alarms from residents of the state,” he said.

He advised the people to handle fire with care and turn off electrical appliances before leaving their homes or business premises.

Mr Abdullahi also urged motorists to drive carefully and adhere to traffic rules to avoid auto accidents.
