The Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service in Kano received 46 complaints in March.

The NHFSS commander, Abdullahi Al-Ameen, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Kano.

He said the service was doing its best to live up to its mandate of preventing crimes and criminal activities in Kano’s forests.

“Out of the 46 complainants, 42 were treated while four others are pending. Most of the cases were on animal theft, farmer/ herders clash, kidnapping, motorcycle theft, phone snatching, thuggery, and rape, among others.

“We will continue to nip various criminal activities in the forest in the bud,” he said.

Mr Al-Ameen solicited the cooperation of the public toward making Kano crime-free.
